Taas vähän sisällön siirtoa edellisestä tänne ja tyypilliseen tapaan otsikon keksiminen tuotti vaikeuksia, mutta laitoin vähän mainintoja sisällöstä.
Alla olevan korealaisen näyttelijän kerrotaan olevan Lee Young-ae ja kuvassa on myös hänen kaksi lasta. Googlella löytyneen tiedon mukaan nainen on 44-vuotias, että ikäikseen hyvin nuoren näköinen, jos ajatellaan kuinka osa naisista näyttää valitettavasti jo 30-vuotiaana karmealta, että ainoastaan mustat miehet huolivat.
Tässä voi samalla myös verrata tyttären kasvoja äitiin, että eipä siinä suuresti eroa näytä olevan. Äidillä näyttää ainakin olevan korkea nenä, joka laittaa epäilemään nenäleikkausta, mutta toisaalta onhan korkeamman nenän omaavia aasialaisia. Lisäksi ikääntyessä tahtoo leuka venyä alaspäin, joka tietenkin aiheuttaa aikuiset kasvonpiirteet, mutta kauniilla äidillä voi sanoa leuan olevan aikuiselle naiselle sopivan kokoinen.
Nuorekkaaseen ulkonäköön liittyen tulee mieleen, että aasialaiset naiset huolehtivat tiettävästi hyvin paljon ihostaan ja pyrkivät pitämään sen mahdollisimman vaaleana ja tasaisena väriltään, joka taitaa olla yksi syy tämän alla olevan naisen nuorekkaaseen ulkonäköön verrattuna moneen eurooppalaiseen naiseen, jotka ovat ruskettamisellaan vanhentaneet ihoaan ryppyiseksi ja epätasaiseksi väriltään.
Olen tällaisista kuvista ennenkin kertonut kuinka ne näyttävät hölmöiltä, koska eihän aasialaisille pidä tällaisia kasvoja tehdä. Nämä ovat enemmän eurooppalaisen kauneusihanteen mukaiset kasvot, mutta aasialaisilla kasvot saavat olla matalammat, koska se on heille normaalimpaa ja myös kaunista ulkonäköä.

Google Scholar:in kautta löytyi kaksi mielenkiintoista tutkimusta, jossa alla olevassa on taas tarkasteltu ulkonäön merkitystä tarjoilijan kannalta. Näitä on ollut muitakin tutkimuksia kuinka esim. vaaleiden hiusten, punaisen huulipunan, suurempien rintojen ja nuorekkaan ulkonäön avulla tarjoilija saa enemmän tippejä. Tässä alla olevassa tutkimuksessa kerrotaan kauniimpien tarjoilijoiden tienaavan 1 261 dollaria vuodessa enemmän ja käy myös ilmi kuinka naiset olisivat antaneet enemmän tippiä kauniin näköisille naisille.
This paper looks at the effect of beauty on earnings using restaurant tipping data. Customers were surveyed as they left a set of five Virginia restaurants about the dining experience, their server, and themselves, including about their tip and their server’s beauty and productivity.
I find that attractive servers earn approximately $1,261 more per year in tips than unattractive servers, the primary driver of which is female customers tipping attractive females more than unattractive females. Alta löytyy venäläisille alle 8-vuotiaille lapsille tehty tutkimus, jossa on kysytty lasten mielipiteitä nukeista, kuten Barbie:sta ja Bratz:sta. Ylempänä olleen kosmetiikka sivuston kautta tuli päädyttyä korealaisen verkkokaupan sivuille, josta löytyi nukkemaisen näköisiä aasialaisia naisia bikineissä, mutta alla olevassa kuvassa on myös tietoa mallien painosta ja pituudesta. Linkin kautta löytyy sitten valtavasti lisää kuvia alla olevista naisista.
Alla olevassa kiinalaisesta verkkokaupasta löytyneessä kuvassa, johon yhdistelin kolme kuvaa on tarkoitus esitellä naisen kasvoja sivusta ja edestä, mutta keskellä näkee myös vähän vartaloa. Tällaiset kasvot ovat hyvin tyypillisiä eurooppalaisille naisille, että ne työntyvät eteenpäin, kun taas noilla yllä olevilla naisilla voi havaita kasvojen olevan matalat, mutta sellaisesta ulkonäöstä miehet näyttävät myös tykkäävän.

Google Scholar:in kautta tuli vastaan artikkeli, joka on nähtävästi vasta nyt julkaistu nettiin tai ei sitä kokonaan pääse lukemaan, mutta se on vuodelta 1991. Ei vanhat kirjoitukset tai tutkimukset ole huonoja, koska niitä tarvitaan vertailuun.
Erikoisesti voi havaita alla olevassa lainauksessa käytettävän rodullista termiä negroid, mutta tuohon aikaan sitä käytettiin enemmän, kun tänään käytetään mielellään jotain muuta esim. musta afrikkalainen. Alla olevassa lainauksessa kerrotaan kuinka tuohon aikaan on käytetty enemmän sanotaanko eurooppalaisen näköisiä mustia malleina kuin enemmän mustan afrikkalaisen näköisiä.
Eipä ole tietääkseni suuria muutoksia tullut päälle 20-vuodessa, että edelleenkin tutkimuksissa kerrotaan käytettävän ja suosittavan enemmän eurokeskisemmän näköisiä mustia, jolla tarkoitetaan varsinkin vaaleampaa ihonväriä, kapean korkeaa nenää ja pitkiä suorempia hiuksia, joka tietenkin poikkeaa suuresti mustille tyypillisestä ulkonäöstä.
Samaan tapaan tänäkin päivänä tutkijat tarkkailevat ihmisten rodullista ulkonäköä, että kuinka paljon esim. mediassa näkyy johonkin ulkonäölliseen ryhmään kuuluvia, että voi sanoa sosiologien olevan tämän päivän perinteisiä antropologeja, kun osaavat jossain määrin luokitella ihmisiä ulkonäön perusteella rotuihin.
Mitä sitten tulee tähän negridiseen ulkonäköön, niin valitettavasti ihmisillä on vaikeuksia tykätä liian negridisestä ulkonäöstä varsinkaan naisella vaikka se nähtävästi hyväksytään jossain määrin mustilla miehillä ja sen hyväksyy tietenkin moni eurooppalainen nainenkin, jonka tuloksena syntyy mulatteja.
Tässä on valitettavasti tällainen ongelma, että varmaan suvaitsevaiset osaavat nähdä monenlaiset ihmiset kauniina, mutta kauneus tutkimuksiin perehtyneet ymmärtävät, että ihmiset eivät yleisesti näe ihan millaista tahansa ulkonäköä naisella kauniina ja kauniina näkemiseen vaikuttaa myös rotu ja etnisyys eli ihmiset tykkäävät enemmän omalle rodulle tyypillisestä ulkonäöstä.

The Thompson and Keith study notes that the effect of skin color on earnings of “lighter” and “darker” Blacks is as great as the effect of race on the earnings of White vs. Black people. Skin color is highly correlated with other phenotypic features – eye color, hair texture, broadness of nose, and fullness of lips.
European features are all accorded higher status both within and beyond the African American community. These European traits function along with color in complex ways to “shape opportunities, norms regarding attractiveness, self-concept, and overall body image” (Thompson & Keith, 2000, 340).
The authors of this study also declare that their findings indicate that women with more Caucasoid features are perceived as more attractive to the opposite sex and are more successful in their love lives than women with more Negroid features (Thompson & Keith, 2000). Femininity is associated with beauty (Kilbourne 1999), and beauty is a social construction informed by race in which most females who are labeled as beautiful are white (Hunter 2004). Females of color are usually labeled beautiful only when they possess European facial features, long hair, or light skin (Hunter 2004).
While both white females and females of color spend millions of dollars on beauty products, many products that target females of color, such as skin bleaches, promote whitening as part of the beautifying process (Russell et al.1992; Hunter 2004; Mire 2005). The issue of colorism became apparent to me when I began to observe the differences in the interaction between my grandmother and my cousin and me. My cousin was born to the union of a Creole mother and a fair-skinned father. She was subsequently born with fair skin tones, her hair was fine, straight and long, and she had traditional European facial features.
I, on the other hand was born to the union of a dark skinned African-American mother and a dark skinned African-American father. I have a dark skin tone, my hair in its natural state has tightly coiled ringlets, and I have ethnically representative facial features.
Due to my particular phenotype, my grandmother tried to encourage me to have more traditional European phenotypes though instructing me to: stay out of the sun in order to preserve my skin color, not to cut my hair so that it would be long and desirable, press my hair to mask its naturally kinky texture, and not to wear lip gloss and lip liner to prevent further accentuating my already large lips.Lähde
This correlates directly to what Antonio Pitanga writes in his literary work entitled, “Where Are the Blacks?” in which he argues that the historical rejection of Black culture and beauty has led to wide-spread practices of skin-bleaching and womb-washing (the practice of purposely reproducing with a man of light or white skin in order to produce fairer-skinned children) in the overarching attempt to rid oneself of the mark of negritude.
During Maira’s interview, she also made the claim that it is your hair that signifies your race. “Your hair signifies your race. It is the curly hair that says that you are a Black woman.”
According to Maira, natural hair becomes deeper than just fashion when you take into consideration the fact that some people have gone their entire lives hearing that “cabelo crespo é cabelo ruím”; that nappy hair is bad hair.Lähde
The notion of pretty hair, in particular, was a concept that also continually surfaced and resurfaced. The girls expressed their opinion that there is not an effort to imitate the standards that exist within the White race, however, ‘white girl’ hair becomes a term and idea regularly used to describe a type of black hair. Ultimately, white people are being used as a point of reference to evaluate black people. The analogy that seems to develop goes as follows: nappy hair is to ugly, as ‘white girl hair’ is to pretty.
When asked the question, “So, in terms of beauty, do you think in some ways black people are encouraged to look like white people”, Sheryll responded, “Yeah, because like all of the black people are like, o I want white hair and I want white this and I want white that and like everything, so yeah”.
In asserting her opinion that White people continue to set the tone and pace in terms of what is identified as cool and beautiful, Sheryll makes a very interesting and sweeping statement that really calls into question the sense of security that black adolescent women have or do not have about their own sense of beauty. Sheryll’s account suggests that the Lily Complex remains relevant to black girls today. Additionally, she asserts that black girls desire what white girls have, but often do not admit to it.Lähde
Keräilin tuohon ylös monta afroamerikkalaisia tai muutenkin mustia tarkastelevia tutkimuksia, joista monia en ole vielä kokonaan lukenut vaan poimin äkkiseltään nopeasti selatessa vastaan tulleen mielenkiintoisen lainauksen. Ensimmäisessä lainauksessa jo mainittiin kuinka mustien omistamissa lehdissä näkyy eurokeskisempiä mustia naisia, niin tämä näyttää pätevän tähänkin päivään, että se olisi lähtökohtaisesti mustien oma tehtävä suosia enemmän mustilta näyttäviä naisia musiikissa, lehdissä ja tv:ssä.
Tähän väliin tarvitaan jo kuvia ja tyypilliseen tapaan poimin niitä kiinalaiselta SoYoung sivustolta vaikka voisihan sitä mennä esim. tutkimaan mustien sivustoja ja poimia sieltä jotain. Tästä huolimatta alla voi havaita erikoisen tuotteen, jonka kerrotaan tekevän kasvoista pienemmät. Aasiassa myydään kaikenlaisia erikoisia tuotteita, joilla saa tehtyä esim. nenästä kapeamman ja silmistä suuremmat, mutta kauneuskirurgit ovat usein kritisoineet näiden tuotteiden olevan huonoja.
Aasialaisilla on erikoinen halu omata pienet kasvot vaikka aasialaisille on enemmän tyypillisempi leveämmät tai pyöreät kasvot, mutta kun julkkiksilla usein on soikion muotoiset pienet kasvot, niin se osaltaan lisää monelle aasialaiselle naiselle ulkonäköpaineita, jonka takia moni sitten haluaa tehdä kauneusleikkauksella leuastaan ja poskiluistaan pienemmät.

Alla on sitten kiinalaisesta verkkokaupasta poimittuja kuvia. Olen näistä kiinalaisista verkkokaupoista paljonkin kertonut kuinka siellä näkyy paljon eurooppalaisia naisia esittelemässä kiinalaisten tuotteita, mutta kyllä siellä myös usein näkyy söpön ja iloisen näköisiä aasialaisia naisiakin.
Näistä aasialaisista naisista näyttää osa olevan käynyt kauneusleikkauksissa, eikä aina kasvonpiirteet ole hyvät, jos vaikka leuasta on tehty liian terävä tai näkyvä, että aasialaisten ei pitäisi hölmöillä näissä kauneusleikkauksissa, mutta kaipa he näkevät omituisen terävän ja pitkän leuan kauniina.
